NOW. A Poem By Delaney :)

Lord, I pray that you help me stay where my feet are,

even when my heart feels far. 

You have me here for a reason,

and You’ve brought me through a hard season. 

No matter what, I want to be content, 

and live fully in the present.

I long to always feel Your joy and peace,

I pray that those fruits never cease.

Father, you are what I seek;

You are my strength when I am weak. 

Thank you for the blessings you have given me, 

but I pray that you alone will fulfill me.

I don’t want to have any idols,

God, I just want to see You continue to make a revival.

Thank you for a new perspective,

I pray that what I do becomes effective.  

Shine your light brightly in my soul,

glorifying You is my only goal. 

And when things get tough, 

I pray that I will believe fully that You are enough. 

Nothing else will completely satisfy,

Your Word is what I will strive to abide by.

Comfort me in my distress,

and keep me humble in my success. 

Guide me and fill me with Your wisdom;

Father, I fix my eyes on your kingdom. 

I've always loved to write poetry, and today it felt right to share a lil somethin' somethin' with y'all! :) Sometimes our feelings are hard to explain, and encouraging people through challenges can be even more difficult. So instead, I thought I would give some insight into what I'm whispering to God through this season of my life. This is just a small reminder that you can come to God with anything. If you are struggling, talk to Him. If you are thriving, praise Him. Live in the present. Thank God for today. Rejoice in the very fact that Jesus died for your sins and try to live out your purpose here on this temporary earth. 

Philippians 4:4
