If you happened upon this post, I pray that you take a short couple of minutes to not just read these words, but truly ponder them.

As the world around you keeps spinning and going a hundred miles per hour, you have the time right now to think about what really matters in life.

Take a moment to realize you are just 1 person out of 7.66 billion in the world. Isn’t that statistic hard to grasp?

Although our lives normally revolve around us, there is so much more going on in the universe...

Everytime I start to have doubts about my faith in the Lord, I think about a couple of things I just can’t even begin to understand.

For starters, the sky. There are 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe and some of those galaxies have a hundred trillion stars. Counting stars is seriously like counting grains of sand.

Or I think about how when I look up there are clouds in the sky that rain falls from so that we can survive on this earth.

Don’t even get me started talking about the moon or the sun…

The ocean is only 5% explored, that means 95% is unexplored, unknown.

There is just so much in this world that can’t be explained or understood completely. Although there are so many mysteries about nature, what blows my mind the most is human beings. How our bodies function is absolutely incredible.

How could all of that just happen by chance?

Our perspective is so limited. We think we can only believe in what we see, but what about fear? We can’t see fear, but I know the butterflies in your stomach before giving a speech in spanish class tell you that it exists. What about how we barely see 0.0000045% of the stars with our naked eye. Or how a baby, a human being, starts with a miniscule, immature egg cell.

If you can’t believe in something greater and more powerful than yourself, you aren’t looking around enough.

It is easy to get caught up in the motions of life. Wake up, drink coffee, work, make money, eat, sleep, repeat. But if that is all this life is, then don't you think it's a waste?

What is motivating you to be a good person? What is motivating you to even get out of bed? We all know that some tragic things happen on this earth, so how do you have hope if you think everything just happens by chance?

What is the reason for living?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it is easy to believe in God. Having faith is hard. It takes work, discipline, and surrender. What I am saying is that everyone should be asking themselves the big questions in life.

The WHY of this world.

I've learned from reading the first two chapters of Jerry Bridges book, Trusting God, that God’s rule is invincible and incomprehensible. His ways are higher than our ways, His judgments are unsearchable, and His paths are beyond tracing out. The sovereignty of God is often questioned because man does not understand what God is doing. We can never fully fathom what God’s plan is, but I promise you that He has one.

I encourage you today to take that first step of just asking the big questions. Then, I pray that you start to seek.

-“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29

-“The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.” Psalm 14:2

-“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

God tells us to seek Him and we will find Him.

So even if you have no background of faith or you are completely sceptical, I urge you to try and seek Him!

If you need someone to help talk to you about it I am going to put my phone number below as well as a list of books and podcasts worth looking into.

Bottom line, God loves you even if you don’t love Him, and He desperately wants to have a relationship with you. You are forgiven. You are special. And you are dearly loved by our Heavenly Father!
